Documentation

Every part of the product, in the order you build it: a branch, a screen, the display you pair to it, and what you put on it. Numbered so you can see where each page sits in that chain — not because you have to read them in order.

  1. Getting started

What this software is for, the six steps between a blank television and a screen that is playing, and where each of them happens.

  2. Branches

A branch is one location. It carries the address a display is paired at, the timezone schedules run in, and the boundary a branch manager works inside.

  3. Screens

A screen is one display in a branch: its size, its orientation, the device paired to it, and the record of what it has been sent.

  4. Pairing a screen

How a physical television becomes one of your screens: an address opened on the display, a six-character code, and the screen you assign it to.

  5. Media

The library your screens play from: images you upload, video files, and links to video hosted at YouTube or Vimeo.

  6. Slideshows

Media in the order you want it seen, with how long each item stays up. One slideshow can play on any number of screens.

  7. Menus

The prices themselves, held as data rather than baked into a picture. One menu shows on a board, reads on a customer's phone, and can cost a different amount in each shop.

  8. Campaigns

A campaign is the decision about what every screen shows. Exactly one is active at a time, and nothing reaches a wall until it is published.

  9. Monitoring

Whether each screen is online, running the configuration you published, and playing, with the alerts that say what to do about it.

  10. People and roles

Who is in your organization, what each of them may do, and how a branch manager is kept to their own branches.

  11. Branding

Your logo and your colours on the dashboard your team signs into, and what branding deliberately does not touch.

  12. Billing

What your organization is on, what it is using against its limits, and the invoices it has been issued.

  13. Organization settings and audit

The defaults every branch and screen inherits, what happens when a display loses its connection, and the record of everything done in your organization.
